Help Shape Conversations on Preventing Sexual Violence

Help Shape Conversations on Preventing Sexual Violence

Violence against women is a pressing issue, with one in three women in Canada experiencing unwanted sexual behavior. As part of the London Safe Cities Action Plan, we’re committed to fostering change—starting with meaningful conversations.

We need your input!

The Safe Cities London working group is gathering feedback from male employees in London-based organizations to explore how men and boys can engage in conversations around preventing sexual violence. Your insights will help shape a practical toolkit for workplaces, that will help guide impactful discussions.

How You Can Help

  • Who: Men/ Male identified people (18+) working in London-based organizations

  • What: A short 8-question survey

  • Why: To identify gaps, needs, and tools for fostering conversations on sexual violence prevention. Information gathered in the survey will help create an evidence-informed toolkit that is aimed at helping professionals have discussions about sexual violence with boys and men in their organization. Particularly, we are seeking the voices of men as gender has been seen to be an important contributor to intervention efforts and gender-advocacy, but men are often left out of conversations on facilitating sexual violence conversations.  We hope to make this toolkit as useful and applicable to various organizations in the city!

How will we use this anonymous data?

Your valuable feedback will help guide the resources, focuses, and topics covered in the toolkit. By understanding the climate of these issues in our city and the current successes and challenges professionals face when encountering sexual violence, we aim to provide resources tailored to your needs. Your insights will help us determine the key areas to focus on, the types of information to gather, and the environments where these conversations are most likely to occur. This will ensure we create tools that align with your preferred modes of learning and support, enabling meaningful, actionable conversations that make you feel confident and supported.
